Another autumn seabreeze, Carbon Art Custom 74/121 TR9 7.0m Pepeweed 28/48, noice to sail with the gentleman Strop, with a late showing from Paul, whom missed the wind, but still looked like he was enjoying non-planing windsurfing.

Carlisle St, Safety Bay, WA, AU

3 quick sessions, all with RRD FW 7m, Pat F Race 120 trib ws 39, Pat sl 100 mxr ws 32, Pat sl 92 JP 31 weedy

After being banished from fangland yesterday for killing the wind and worse still breaking the 24 fangy fin on my first go of using it I went for another chop fest at sefety bay today. An afternoon of continualy  increasing wind and chop required a couple of board changes but the trusty 7m demonstrated its big wind range and easy handling with only one minor adjustment on the outhaul of about 1cm.

More of a social sail today than going for pb,s, the only thing that was going to get broken today was me if i stayed out too long.

Peel Inlet, WA, AU

A bit of a late cruise, caught one or two plaining runs before the wind backed right off. Still got some time on the water and a bit of displacment mode practise.  Nice to see Stroppo and Joe out, I think they got the better wind. I was still happy to get out for the first time in weeks and the weather was very pleasant.

Good to see a few got out for a bit of a splash Smile

Roger how the hell did you manage to kill a Fangyfin? You will be banished (who isn't? Wink ) but only because despite Fangys best efforts all year to kill one you managed to do it first go!

Is 30 the new 40?

+1 on the idea of a destructible fangy fin. How? What? Where? And other questions :-) The phrase ' you should see the other guy' springs to mind!

Didn't even get it to the water. Tightening up the front screw there was a cracking noise so I pulled the fin out and the box came out on 3 pieces.

Rumour is that Boz sabotaged it same time as the severne boom.

In the words of Fangy, Duct Tape and more Duct tape, Fangy I know you like reusing everything but that jar of resin with the cobwebs from the 80's is not what you should be using there's a reason for a expiry date. Now I see the voodoo doll was aimed at Roger but seems to have missed him the day the wind died and I had to swim. :)

Boz, I admit it, I sort of got the order mixed up. I had just finished patting down the 6 feet of dirt on top of Roger, when I realised I still had the jar of resin to throw at him. So that's why it ended up in your neck of the woods, you can't just let good stuff go to waste!

Yes, Roger inflicted the first fin fatality, shortly followed thereafter by his own. I am the sort of guy that has always been happy with one screw. I know some of you feel the need for two screws and so I had two fins reboxed in resin to accommodate those with peculiar taste. The only mistake I made was to not let him know that you don't need a rattle gun to do up the bolts to stop weed getting under the front, and as a result, he managed to convince the resin in the re-boxed part to bid farewell to the original aluminium frame.

Repaired with some duct tape before Roger even started to smell. Actually, more correctly, repaired with some Duct Tape before Roger started to smell worse. Top Ten Fangy Day Laughing

Oh and just in case you are wondering how Roger is up and about already, He is not the Messiah, he is just a naughty boy, but it was the day for people popping back from the dead after all. Tongue out

Any sailing there today Folks? Forecast showed wind there.  Here it was rainy and still. That is likely to be the pattern for a few days.

Was that the fin I did? I had a feeling while doing it that the front bolt shouldn't be done up too tight!

Afraid so Mike, but I suspect that it was the cheap arse barrel nut that I gave you, corroding, expanding and then cracking the resin. ( just don't tell Roger that) I drilled and tapped down into the aluminium. All good now, it just needs a slightly longer bolt.
