Green Island, QLD, AU

Very nice sail on the reef flats with Bindi and Toody. Wind was a little on and off at times, but good tide hight for the top of the island gave a nice flat water paddock to play in.

Used 2016 Isonic 80, Overdrive R6 6.2 and Tribal SW 27Cool

Futura 111, Gator 6.0 We had a relaxed start to the morning so didn't quite get enough sailing in before the water disappeared. It was a little too gusty on the 5.3 but settled in for a few good runs on the 6.  Beautiful, sunny day - water was spectacular!!

Port Douglas, QLD, AU

120 litre Atomiq - 45cm speed fin - this fin was supposed to be my lightwind fin but it releases beautifully, giving a good wind range, plenty of grip and lots of lift.  Had some fantastic runs back towards shore, surfing down the waves and keeping James honest.  Ed got out early for some reason - not like his normal self.  Just totally loving all the juicy wind these last couple of week s- a great start to our season.  Sailed with Ed, James, Mandy Ian and Sharon down here at Port Douglas.  First rigged a 6.4 and had a few nice runs with just enough sail =-then the wind dipped and I headed inshore to rig trusty 7.2m Fusion - with plenty of downhaul - wind was heaps of fun to play in - had a few races with James, who continued to steal my wind and rooster tail me = Ian was right up Ed's backside when he nearly whacked Ed in the calf -  could have been serious.  A really nice afternoon with good company.  I hope everyone else got out amongst it.  Hoping to sneak out tomorrow afternoon as well - wind looks good for the rest of this week.

Port Douglas, QLD, AU. Futura 90, Aerotech 6.0 M, Tribal 27 WS.

Another great afternoon at Port with Ed, James, Andres, Mandy and Sharron. The wind was more consistent this afternoon than yesterday, So I was nicely powered up most of the day. A little choppy out the back making it a little slower but the Futura 90 cuts through it pretty well. only one close shave with Ed late in the day but I checked back on the beach, his legs are still both the same length.

Port Douglas, QLD, AU Got 2hrs on the water this arvo..The wind gods turned it on for all the girls and boys up north today..Ian, James ,Andrew, Mandy and Sharon came for a blast..Was good to see Girls on the water today.Mandy had a 'wipe out' and hurt her shouider,Which wasn't a good look..James will have to give her some 'TLC' when they get home..I had a very close call with Ian which could of ended badly..Was having a rather sesious drag with him a few kms off shore  in a very choppy sea when he gybed right in front of me just when i was going to pass him on the down wind side..I did a very quick bare away and his board just cliped the back of my leg..could not believe how close it was to a major' wipe out' which would of  ended up with some broken toys and maybe a long paddle home..It was good we could laugh about it at the end of the day...Andrew won a drag with James just on knock of time which James wasn't to happy about..He mentioned something about no more coaching for Andrew..We all thought it was funny.. Today was just a good fun session which i think we all needed ..I pulled up a bit early have a rather shagged back at the moment and didn't want to abuse it to much.. 97lt Isonic Burnt out 6.6m North rig 38cm fin..Cheers Ed..
