Fun sail with Shane and Morts. Gusty and rain at times, still good to be on the water. Forecast was 20 knots all day SE.

Had this forecast been a summer thermal wind it would have been a great day. Imnstead itwas fun but never great.

Morts destroyed me on every point of sailing, hooning past me with great style.

Tried to post from KA72 but no button shown to allow this. Instead used Realspeed. 56.045

Morning sail with Steve & Shane as that's when the wind was forecast to be strongest & tide at it's best. First hour was yuck! Wind was up and down, underpowered a lot of the time so nearly packed it in. On the shore the wind looked to be improving so Steve offerred to be the Guinea Pig. After seeing him going better we went out & had another crack at it, much more consistent wind Smile

Tried for some Alphas but just not enough wind for long enough.

Sorry about that Fangy but it's imposible to produce anything worthy of posting with those numbers on a round planet Surprised

Morts that is defeatist talk. A mere 46 knot alpha yesterday would have given us a 25knot averageEmbarassed. Perhaps next time Fangy

Oh! not this again...Don't be intimidated Morts by my demigod like greatness, just keep doing your alphas at the northern end so you can take advantage of the natural downhill slope of the earth going south. ( I know the tendency is to try to copy greatness, but because my head has its own gravity field I can do them wherever I want) and you too will approach the numbers of awesome.

Pity about the wind not performing for your kit Shane. Next time maybe we will see more wind.

You made the right call Stroppo. It was forecast to be great. It was fun but never going to contribute to team points.
