Canton Beach, NSW, AU  12-18kt SW || 118 Manta 7.0 Titan 32 Unifiber Weedie

Sailed from 7.30am till about 11am. Really consistant SWer. There would have been 90minutes or so when it hung between 15kt-17kt, not gusty at all, and almost as steady as a NEr! Very manageable chop. Was joined by Gareth for the last half hour or so, but by then it was dying and time to pack up.

A bit of sliding out with the weedie, not sure if from lack of speed which is supposed to get it gripping properly, or just too small. Might need to try a larger weedie or a different model of.

Looking forward to see how others faired today....

Patrick 115 OD 7.8m Gun 33 Weedie.  Not quite the wind I hoped for but good sail anyway with Kazza, Nigel (Gustbusters) and the Nudestar.

Well done on your PB Andrew.  That is a really good PB considering your top speed and the wind on the day.  The Gun 33 Weedie was really good, I was really trucking up wind on it.   Probably just a touch deep for Primbee but with the 7.8m I was spining the BP 28 weedie out a bit just I was bearing away for the downwind run which was stuffing it, so decided to go a bigger fin.  I think I'm a bit out of practice using weed fins however as not much sailing in the last 2 months.

Good stuff Andy, well done on the PB. Canton was good.

I got there at 2pm and it was pretty light but gradually built up to be quite reasonable, managed a few nice runs. See you.
