For the second day in a row the NE winds blows with hopefully the same again tomorrow but with some sun. Checked Landguard weather station and the wind was only showing 15 kts and not in a great hurry to get down as not low until 3, so arrived at The Dip at midday. Roger V had rigged 7.5 and Micheal G had rigged as yesterday 6.2 but the wind was definitely lighter than yesterday so not sure what to do? In the end the breeze filled in a bit so went with the smaller 115 lt. board and 6.5. It felt cooler on the beach today but toasty in the Gull winter suit plus hat and it was OK. Again, the sea was lumpy and because the tide didn't drop very low we didn't get the smooth water usually associated with this direction:( I beat up to kite beach and went for a mile run and actually went faster than yesterday which surprised me as was under most of the session. I called it a day as the tide turned when Swainy, Mark D and Andy M arrived but the sea had really picked up and was rolling in so was glad to save myself for tomorrow. Mark Smalling and Strawberry came but didn’t sail, shame really as windy enough and despite chilly it was OK in the winter suit – fingers crossed for some sunshine tomorrow!
