Great flat water session at Burrum! Despite going out with the wrong sail at the wrong time, had an absolute blast up and down the bank with the wind square to the bank.

Wow how nice it was to use a little 7m sail and a tiny 92L board can't remember the last time, just John and myself out at Cox which we definitely picked too low a tide for without a weedy still a good yet challenging sail.

JP92, R5-7, Tribal 34 first time tops when powered!

I was a total numpty today. Firstly I carried my gear from the rigging area down the park, through the mangroves and out through the mud, only to discover I didn't have my harness on. I recovered from this senior moment and eventually made it out to the bank. Once out there, my harness lines kept on slipping of my harness hook. I didn't realise that last week's high speed encounter with a marine creature had deformed the hook. It's quite disconcerting for the lharness line to slip of the hook at 33kts in the middle of a run. To add to this, the tide was so low that between the bank and the island, a weed speed fin was necessary. Further, having to negotiate 100m of thigh deep mud at the end of the session added to the general misery of the afternoon. In between this general misery, I managed a couple of reasonable runs.

Chris was a sailing demon this afternoon with a new PB 25+kt alpha and a 36kt 2 sec.

Aweson conditions sailing up and down the bank from the coffee rocks to the sixth marker full light up hugging the banks both ways.

Sailing with Greg, Phil and Mark from Gladstone.

Left Burrum at 3.30 and Phil was still sailin. Big 3.50hrs trip home

Patrik92 Koncept7 BP WS38

Shows how good Burrum can be we were running the entire length of the banks only hickup was there was people fishing from the coffee rocks at the end, I think we upset them a few times.
