What a crap day, light rain, cool and wind not quite enough. With the much-needed rain falling when the tide was at its best but I hate sailing in the rain so gave it a miss. After lunch Mag and I walked up the town then along the prom for a mile or so and it was horrible, grey, cool and with high tide approaching very choppy:( I did go down The Dip and The Manor but Felixstowe was like a ghost town with not a windsurfer in sight, there are very few windsurfers left here it seems:(

At four I checked the Landguard weather station again, it had picked up and there were a couple of kitesurfers out – company at last so I returned home to get my gear. The sea was rolling in big and I was getting 22mph on the gauge so took a chance with the 115 lt. and 6.5 always a bit on the optimistic side! It was OK for a few runs ending out over the waves of the River Deben channel which was good fun but very short lived. After only a few runs the wind dropped to 8.5 weather and the kiters packed up and so did I.

A breeze is forecast for tomorrow but lighter and still cloudy with showers:( Who knows if any windsurfers come, they are a rare breed in these parts!
