Safety Bay, WA, AU

Headed down straight after night shift, looked ok when i arrived with a very high tide as expected. Thinking it would die down i rigged the 7.0. It pretty much swithched off for 10mins but luckily it was just a shift in direction. Some ridiculous rain squalls brought some wind with them making the sail a real handfull. Pretty similar conditions to monday, just a tad more power in the hands.

Very variable wind, but at least it was wind. One big squall that required survival sailing, a few gusts and lots of just planing/not quite planing.

Coodanup, WA, AU/Liptons

Early morning sail with Strop at the chook pond, was looking good when we arrived massive gusts but that was probably the best of it and this was before we had a chance to rig. We took the chance and rigged for the gusts that was supposed to eventuate. Lot of sitting around chin wagging waiting but we managed to get a few runs in, all over by 10 and headed to Liptons,  just as gusty,  all in a good day great way to start the morning. Few of the Mob where at Liptons braving the winter rains  good to see everyone also good to see Ken zipping around, he was still on the water when I left making his way back upwindTongue out .

Gusty wintery weather and a very high tide @ Liptons. Went with the bigger Futura board over the 91 mistral. Probably should have brought down the isonic as the chop was manageable. Cool bunch of people down there too and Boz Wink.

Great work team! Improved our scores in 5 categories.

Ken, congratulations on the nm PB. Liptons is the place for them. You should have asked Boz to back you up though...

Hooksey, good to see you with a jelly bean.

Boz, great dedication being at Coodanup at the crack of dawn, sorry it didn't pay off for you. Good backup for Lunny though, who might have scored the speed of the day...

Ricey, I am glad you got a sail in. Better than I managed. It really annoys me when I don't have any time for sailing.

Yes I was chatting Boz on the bank talking about how the on/off winds were making it hard to go for a NM. Soon after that he went in and then I went for one more downwinder when the wind got a bit more consistent. thats when the NM PB happened. Shame though because that could have easily been another bean.Cry

We'll done Lunny and Ken, good speed as usual Lunny. Ken would have gone for a NM but too iffy on the small board, was watching you coming back upwind though you might have gone for a NM, well done on the PB
