Holloways beach ......first sail since the heart thing in February.

Big thank you to Billy getting me back on the water. Conditions were

pretty good for me, maybe a little light for Billy.

Great to see Benny on the water and venturing out quite a ways.

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Exocet 135 Severne Convert 6.7

Afternoon sail scheduled with Billy & Fred.  Arrived later than expected to see the 2 familiar figures out on the water.  Great to see Fred getting amongst it! - Sang out a quick g'day in passing.

A little frustrated with my efforts today, just couldn't get comfortable in the chop.  Ended up doing the walk of shame...

On a positive note though, being such a great progessive sport with great people involved, what's not to like about it!

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Fun litle sail with the Freddy "The Heart Breaker" Burke. Just a little introduction back into the water. Tried to have a sail an hr b4 and an hr after the low tide, but ended up in a first 40 min dredge session. As soon as the tide turned, in she same. Sweet little 15 knt'er. Water temp just sensational - it really is a pleasure to live in this part of the world at this time of the year.

Nailed my jibes, had the CA sweatly cruising across the swells...whats not to love. Great arvo out. Great to see Ben out on the water pushing himself.

Used - Custom CA SL108, 7.5 T4, 40 C3 Sting 11.

Looks like you had a pleasant session Dr Cam. What is the temperature there at the moment, and are there any MM migrants in the area?

Had a lovely session with Rick, Mark, and my mate, Ed.  rigged big isonic 133 and North Xtype 8.2 no cam.  decided not to use the 7.8m S-Type with its three cam setup - but, in hindsight, I should have had a bit more fun on that.  I think the 8.2 is a light wind sail for lighter sailors - without cams it rigs too flat.  The wind was a bit dodgy for alot of the time so the shape of the cammed sail would have probably helped get on the plane and get me through the lulls - forgot my bloody mast, but, fortunately, Wendy was about to head over to Port Douglas so I had to wait about half an hour behind the boys to get out on the water.  Love the way the isonic just hovers along.  Great to see you out again, Freddy Burke, and well done, Benny.

Hoping to get out on the water up here on Tuesday, Wednesday - Thursday.  Life is Good.
