Stansbury, SA, AU North 12-25

FF102,GPS6.6,Lessacher weed

Turned out to be a great sail today. Started off on the flat for the hour attempt but got 20 mins in and she was a floater. We came in and waited a while and the pick up came so out for another hour attempt. Settled in and about 40 mins in was fully lit on the 6.6 with some 25+ knots. Smoking!, was choppy by now so couldn't get the speed over the rough.  Was glad when Richard signalled the hour 'cause was knackered and called it a day.

Well sailed RichardCool

RIG BIG was the plan & hopefully get blown off the water late in the session, Rigged the 7m Loft RB, CASL101, 33 Gun weedie. Started a cracker hr cruzing at 25k 27k peaks accross the runs then BAM zlitch nada zip calmCry walldled in & changed to the 32 Lessacher duo weedie & waited for the wind to return. Back on the runs & the smoother water was gone, the change of fins was a good one had forgoten how rock solid they are in the slop. 2/3 of the way into the Hr a squall hit & I went into survival sailing just too much power couldnt keep it off the wind just wanted to round up all the time, blew 6-8 jibes in a rowFrown managed to finnish the hour & did a 0ty run on the way home. After a long wind drought it was Great to Sail with Hoppy again & get some cobwebs of the gear. All in all a crackerSmile

Gusty holey N ortherly at Goolwa  started on the 7.9 Gastra Vapour with the 112xfire 42.5 BP R got some nisme runs, certainly was all over the place. then the wind picked up and i  put on the 6.2 Koncept and 34 canfire on the xfire and thought i was travelling nicely, couldnt find any flat water so was shoooting down the back of chop in the swirling gusts. a seal decided to have fun with me, while i was plodding..
