Primbee, NSW, AU || W 15-31kts

Rocket 95, ODR8 7.0, 40/22

It was brief, but really fun while it lasted. Could've done with a 7.8 or a bit more wind as there wasn't much on the bare-aways. Still, it was great to be on the water after what felt like forever.

Man, I love this setup!! The rocket is such a pleasure to gybe and seems to plane through the lulls so well despite being just 95ltrs and 58cm wide. And the cut down and reshaped BP fin went so great.... it didn't let go once and I pushed it pretty hard with a big sail for a 22cm fin. It's a winner and definitely as good as an MXR UFO, but only time will tell if it's as fast as an MXR.

Also tried out the new Severne seat harness today. Very good fit and super comfy. Much better than any other seat harness I've used. Thanks www.windsurfinggear.com.a.

Nice to see Speedsters and Gusties... Dezza, Terry, Matt, Detlev and JH et al. Catch yas again soon I hope :)

Palm Beach, NSW, AU 5-10kt WSW || 118 Manta, 8.4TR, 44 T-Lab

Sailed from 12 to 1.15pm so out there before it started to really blow. Still there were enough puffs to tune and test my new TR, and gain some confidence gybing it before I think of taking it into more open water.

I've never actually sailed Palmy on such a dead low tide before. Was really surprised at how close the wed bed gets to the surface. It goes quite a long way out at uniform depth so this could really help out in terms of the chop next time it gets nukin'. Will have to suss that out....

Well done to all the teams that got out there today and broke the wind drought!

Well done Nigel.  Wish I was there to put a score on the board.  This working thing is overated!  Need to write a wind flex clause into the next EBA!

Good one Nigel. Been a while so it would have been nice to blow the cobwebs away so to speak.

Your setup sounds fast😎

Great to post under the DDs again. Shame you didn't get a bit more wind Andrew.... we're sitting at the bottom of the ladder. Lowest I've ever seen the DDs! Still, who cares, right!? I sailed yesterday with my new waterproof ipod... was so unreal to have beats while fanging around. More about fun, less about numbers.

Hey Ross. I'm wearing a Wizmount selfie stick that protrudes from the backpack. A bit of sneaky photoshop and I've removed the pole from the image ;) The stick comes with a bunch of bends, so I can try some different angles, but haven't done so yet... next time though I reckon.

Good photoshopping and great to see the DDs posting in May, a traditional windless month.
