Bostonfoil (17127km): Valentine, NSW, AU Falcon 113 KAR 7.9 S1 43cm Third day in a row here and probably the best. The wind came in for an hour at the end nicely. Super choppy with the yachts out. The 43cm fin seems to limit top speed quite a bit but it points great. Happy with the alpha in the chop on the big gear. With Tony and Muz at the end.

Lcukily hadnt quite forgotten how to do it although my muscles soon remembered. Nice sail with Bruce Mick Ian Lyndon Glenn and Big Tom. Baz decided to be a girl and went home instead. Nothing like sailing with friends. Bring on tomorrow | ||||||||||||||||||

sboardcrazy (24291km): mainly 5-10kts SSW with the occasional 12-14kts then 20kts for 15mins in front of rain Canton Beach, NSW, AU 115 Xcross - 7.8m OD - 38 makani weedie 1st 1.30hr was hard work trying to catch a puff and then keep planing when it died to 10kts or less. I got heart palps after 1/2hr so I had to have a bit of a rest. Came in for lunch and it came in before the rain and the boards were flying and kiters were doing leapy dangly thingies so I raced back out . Overpowered but fun! 27.66on GPS which is good for the tank in small chop. Alpha looks crap but I'm really happy with it as it was a planing gybe with the big heavy 7.8m. I don't usually try planing gybes in chop with it as it's too cumbersome.. Boy that board is fun in crappy conditions. Even though it's 50 over my weight and 75 wide it comes alive in 20kts and no control hassles. Pete , Nigel , Michelle and myself with 2 kiters then Wayne , Nathan and a few others. The ankle has been giving stabbing pains.. I would have thought that after 12 months it would be normal? Not too bad to sail but walking is a problem ( It was ok until recently). |
