Decrepit (54500km): A drought relief, light wind sail at Cobblers. With Firie, Slasher/Slugger and the Fin. We spent ages uhmming and aaahhhhring, trying to decide if it was worth getting wet, but Slugger reckoned his 7.8 would get him planning, so we followed his example and rigged. Pleasantly surprised, the first half I was planing a little bit more than groveling, but then the lulls got longer and the gusts weaker. Until the point when coming in seemed the best option. If we'd rigged earlier may have had another half hour of good conditions. But that's hindsight for you. Watch results, and this is interesting! 2s 26.149, 5x10 23.034, 1hr 6.623, @ 16.050, NM 14.034, dist 13.5 So the interesting thing is the difference in the NMs, the watch is over 4kts better. And the reason for this is the watch is set to "Min speed" 0 and the GW52 is set to 2kts. So the watch includes the best NM where the speed dropped to 0 but the GW52 doesn't, it has to make do with a NM where the speed stayed above 2kts. Not normally a problem when you're planing all the time, but on a day when the wind drops very low it's easy to stop dead in a stall gybe.
(Mu-) fin (15418km): Uhmm.... I was a bit late, (nothing new) everyone else was rigged and getting ready to go. I waited too long but went out, got plaining 6 times in 45min, got wet and came back. The sun was warm but the water was cold, wind was on the light side. Well thats about it..... . Oh, I thought I had lost my sunnys, but found them, in the back of the car, stuff piled on top!! DOHH, !!!!

Firiebob (17842km): Olive Reserve, WA, AU Hmmm, I thought it was up to just me and Mighty Mouse to get us onto the board for the month, If I'd known there was another couple of no life nothing to do Mobsters sailing today I would have waited till after 8am to get out of bed It was actually a nice little session, not a 10 but it's been awhile, some time on the water with other friendly no hopers is always a bonus. Light wind so my biggest gear, my 42 fin was a drag, every time into the flat I got caught by a weed monster. Today my only worry was Slugger Scissor Hands, if I was and I did plenty, floating around waiting to water start, the Mad Scissor would bear down on me with a lunatic grin, enough to scare a dog off his chain Too much time floating or treading water but really it was a-ok. Carbon Art SL66, Venom 42, Koncept 7.5 and yep boardies
