Hood River Waterfront Park, The Gorge, USA

Naish SP95 replica, EVO8 6.4 rdm Vector Volt 33

Smoking day, sailed for a few hours in fantastic conditions. Totally dialed in to the gear and effortless to sail for hours. La Defi training paying off, going longer and faster with less effort and more endurance. Got fins dialed in so now it's a case of clocking up distance for the next year to be prepared.

Roo, congratulations on the new distance PB Cool! I looked at the event site wind graph - was it less gusty than normal? Wishing I could have been there, maybe in a week or two...

Tomorrow looks to be over the top...

Was pretty consistant at 20 knots, lots of crowds as Event Site was closed. Fist hour was 21.768 knots, second was 21.497. Sailed for a few hours, wasn't really going for it, just enjoying myself. Jibe ARoona was pretty tricky but still knocked out a 23.1 alpha and a 23.034. Great day all round. Tomorrow should be fun, loaded for bear!

Thanks Al, just getting warmed up. Still early in the season and I'll only get fitter and faster.  Goals for this year are 45 knot 2 sec, 42 knot 5 x 10, 23 knot hour, 26 knot alpha, 32 knot nm and 200km distance....all on US waters of course! I'm at day 28 so far and aiming for 120 sailing days this year as well.
