bushfire (26346km):  Tuggerah Bay, Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU Southerly 5 - 10 knots. FOIL Missed the best of the wind - oh well. A session of firsts - first outing of the R8 7.8m and first time foiling on the formula board. It felt pretty good! Certainly more comfortable with the extra volume compared to the 105 board. Only really got flying in the 10 knot gusts. I reckon with an 8.6m the 6-8 knot foiling dream may be possible. I had a close look at a Moth's foils before venturing out on the water - they are a lot more hi-tech than what I have !! I can see why they are much more efficient than windfoiling (and faster).
