FOIL

Great foiling in a gusty wind. First session with the 8.6m - the biggest sail I have used for foiling. Performed well and even when the wind picked up it still was controllable, well sort of!! As always, it was easier to stable fly upwind than downwind. Decided a smaller sail would be better, so back to shore for a breather and a rerig. I went for the smallest sail , really to see if it would work with the big board. It work well! Who would have thought a 5.7m sail would work on a formula boardSurprised Foiling speeds were similar to the 8.6m sail, but just harder to get going.

Great to meet and foil with Barks from the DD's.

SB Formula 167, SV R8 8.6m, Gator 5.7m, TWF 2016 Manta
