So much for the 25kts predicted.. Still it was sunny, I stayed warm and got some miles up..Worked out it's about .7-.8 nm acros to the other side at that angle..
Spent most of the day trying to get upwind where there was more wind and deeper water or hanging off the boom so the fin wouldn't drag on the bottom. Not enough wind for much speed or planing gybes . The few gybes I tried on the other side I'd end up flipping the sail and sitting balanced on the fin on the bottom.. I managed to sail out of a few but generally just gave up gybing on that side.
Well I haven't forgotten how to gybe..
Andrew went out for a short time but the gear was too small so Milsy and he spent most of the day yakking.
MILSY THE GENIUS!!! ( happy... ). .. I have a key that gets me into the van but will only open the drivers door. To open the rest or drive I need the remote but stuffed up today and threw my polarfleece with remote in the pocket in the back of the van.... Milsy crawled through the gap in the cargo barrier to reach it and opened the car for me....I was worried he might get stuck..I'm smaller but I was wet and didn't want to troll saltwater through the van.Lucky we made the hole bigger a while ago or I would have been stuck as no one would have been able to get in the back to get it...
The graph makes it look like I missed the best yakking but i don't think it really improved on the lake..
Disappearing through the gap in the barrier
Time to get out somehow..
There obviously wasn't much wind today.. Hey we had to amuse ourselves somehow..
