Woo hoo, flying Muppet alertTongue out

Bloody hard sussing out what sail to rig when you'd normally be looking at a 9.5m.

Finaly got more than 15mins on the water (30min) and noit have the wind disapear altogether, quite gusty, not ideal conditions for crash testing but great fun anyway.

Feels quite bizzare getting up on the foil but sooooooo Smooooooooooooth when up there which for me at the moment is all to short before I eat shit.

Crashes were a bit more coodinated more like muppetted jumps (This fat boy don't jump)

First (of many) crash compilation video to follow later

Great fun

My first day on Green Is.  First wsurf here.  Conditions about 15 to 20kts.  Fave Gear.  Cam said don;t sail anywhere near brown stuff its shallow reef.  First run, done 10 metres, and smashed my brand new pepeweed on reef.Yell

The water is warm, about 24 degrees, its a beautiful place.  Cam said tide was too low for the Eastern Run, so we sailed the northern run, which was very choppy and short compared to what we are used to sailing.  Didn;t pull off one gybe.  Just started to dial in the conditions went for a speed run, just started to get up to speed, and there's a fucking reef in front of me, BAILEDEmbarassed

Next run out passed an 8 foot tiger sharkSurprised, came to shore that was it for me.  Tomo am looks promisingCool

PS top speeds on very short runs were 28kts Cam was getting 31's.  Won't bother post tonight as gps is on th beach with my gear waiting for the 7am speed session.

Hey Morts was it cold Laughing

Red Fluffy One, great to see you  having some foil fun, I'd love to go down and watch one day, maybe see if my quad (flying thing) still works Cool

Hey Hardz, did it go ting ting bang, don't worry we've all heard that sound before Yell It's amazing how quick you learn where to go, best to follow a local but then maybe not Camakaze Laughing Don't worry about sharks, bloody waters full of fish, you'd be the last thing he wants to chew on. If you went down while they feed the fishies late arvo you'd see what I mean, and oh I've see more reef sharks than you've had hot tucker but never a Tiger, he's lost n gone by now, honest Wink

Live the dream mate Cool Oh and don't forget Arlington, the Mad Doc knows where it is Tongue out

Sorry it took so long, the new editing software was idiot proof, especially when you don't read the instructions

Who knew muppets could fly, you could join the Red Arrows aerobatic team after watching that video. Quick tip, get your hands further forward on the boom, not as much power so the foil wont fly out of the water once you are at 15 knots boardspeed.

Thanks Kean, any helps is good helpsLaughing This all goes against how you sail the speed kit

Gotta remember the Poo stance.

Don't worry Franga the camera will still be recordingEmbarassed

Fortunately the foil must have come out of the same factory as the Junkers Ju 87 (Stuka) and has an inbuilt warning siren  which starts wailing when I get up on the foil to warn all around of my impending indentation into the water, hopefully the bullies don't suss this out.

Gunna take a bit to suss out which part of the foil setup is the squealer (apart from me)

Hardz, you wait till you get back, with your finesse (technique) rather than my brute force and ignorance sailing style you'll be wizzing around in no time.

Very strange reaching for a 5.8 and hoping not to be overpowered when I'd be normally going for a 9.5m on the big girl

Looks good Elmo, you had some nice sustained flight there.  Been out twice on mine with a 6.5 and they are very sensitive to foot pressure.   yes mine squeals as well. Good luck!
