Another lonely sail at boombas, but what a good decision to go. After a 4.30 start and a prety hard days work on the end of a 9" grinder I managed to get away at 2. Looking at seabreeze everywhere was still blowing northerly so I didnt take much convinsing to hit the freeway and head south.

I was greeted by lots of whitecaps and a 20+ knot breeze. For a moment I considered riging the 6.3 but no out came the go to 7m. Quickly I threw everything together and put the thick rubber on, wow that was a mistake, it was like sailing in a sauna. The water was a little choppy so I took a run into the next bay which was flatter but again a bit less wind as last time there, also with the wind predicted to swing to the west a bit I didnt want to get stuck round there. After 12 km I was buggered so I realy had to push myself to continue but had lots of short stops. All in all a great afternoon, cant wait to go there again.

May head to melville tomorrow if I can sneak off early again.

Great to see someone else get out Ott's. It helps me heaps with anxiety, nothing else matters on the water.

Just packing up at boombas. Post later.

slugger is keen (I think) since I described the joys of cheesegraters to him he may have lost a bit of enthusiasm.

The forecast is saying over 30kts for lake preston tomorrow arvo. If there's enough water, and the forecast holds, it will be the best sailing locally.

I had the skin cancer removed from my ear this morning. Dr says I'm not allowed in the water for a week, so I won't be there.

benderland north might be a good bet for tomorrow.

stays pretty flat up close to the buffalo rd causeway.

and not as hard on the eyes as cheesegraters.

Nice sailing guys, 3 more catergories between you.

Good one Ratz, I've never sailed there, but sounds like a better option.
