Jonski (6717km): Fangland, WA, AU, Took a couple of hours off work to go for a sail. Really enjoyable session with plenty of wind at times used both the isonic 110 and the 87 with my 6.7 code red.
fangy (22667km): Fangy's @ Creery end carpark. Ratz, Rainbow Warrior, Firie and Jonski for crew. Party Barge, Fangyfin24 and Koncept 7.5 for kit. Taxi duties now- post more later: Phone data; 2 sec 33.045 10sec 31.879 Hour 7.298 alpha 14.470 Nauti 26.175 Distance 28.312
Great to catch up with Ratz, and the Rainbow Warrior down at the Creery end this morning. The combination of their gangsta Merc van and Mr Whippy confused the local drug dealers no end. I got confused trying to decide what size sail to use, but luckily I had Ratz there to set me straight. I obviously misheard him and used the 7.5. As a consequence I got lifted off, smacked and generally knocked about, except when there was no wind. At those times I was fine.
I had a wrestling match the rest of the time and a couple of exhilarating downhill runs on the Barge. Any time the Barge is over 30 is a good time. Although the Rainbow Warrior spent the day trying to avoid them, the rain meant that he was once again he was seen sailing underneath rainbows as only he can. Which is annoyingly fast, but also quite good entertainment as uses all of his featherweight to hold down a big board in the squalls. If you want to try and imagine the scene, picture the sideways motion of a crab and the flying skills of an emu and you will be in a good place to start. Of course it didn’t always end well, but always worth watching. Jonski and Firiebob joined the fray. I haven't seen Bob’s numbers but I am guessing he was quick because of the smell downwind whenever he went past. It was akin to burning rubber, which would make sense, because the last I saw him, the only rubber left on him was a springy. I guess the common sense steamer wettie must have been burnt off and hence the smell.
Things were wrapping up nicely until I realised I was late for the school run and had to scarper like a scalded cat. Is there ever an end to this responsible parenting thing? Very gusty, hard work, but defo Top Ten Fangy day.

ratz (10868km): Coodanup, WA, AU decided on a mission to fangyland with the slasher/rainbow warrior/slugger arrived to be greeted by total glass despite the fact the van had been blown all over the road on the way up. blamed slasher for the lack of wind and he responded by cancelling my order of a blueberry muffin and a long black. eventually his hoodoo wore off and the wind came in. nicelly powered with a 7.0 on the 107 iso apart from when the fronts came through which made things very interesting. nice to catch up with slasher.fangy jonski firey and stroppo.
SluGger (13722km): Coodanup, WA, AU Patrik 115 ,TR8 6.6M , pepe 30/ fangy 24 Nice sesh with Ratz, Fangy Jonski and Firie, Stroppo arrived as we were leaving. Lots of great gusts and also lots of lulls, Had a few nice get offs and while recovering enjoyed watching Fangy trying a spot of kiting on the party Barge at 30 knots . Great company, thanks fellas for a top day!!

Oaf (7354km): Birchmont, WA, AU Another great sail at Herron Point. Managed to sneak out for a quick hour or so betwen finishing work and fetching the boys from daycare. Was expecting to have the place to myself, but the hard working crew from the Pinnas was there putting in the TOW. Boz, Lunny and Ken but I only got a quick chat with Boz while I derigged. Always nice to have company on the water. Tide was super high so wasn't expecting much flat. Enjoyed the lumps on the big board trying to find the least lumpy bits and line it up with a gust, to see if I could get it over 35 again. Wasn't to be this time but fun all the same.

Firiebob (17842km): Coodanup, WA, AU Found it really hard to get motovated to climb into the Peel Freezer so I was a little late. Driving past the beach and the cutting and it was going off, hmm maybe my 6.6 was gonna be a little big, got to the play ground and all I could see were a few bra boy butterflies fluttering around on the horizon. Bugger no wind wtf, watched for 10min and nearly gave it away but thought better of it you never know Mr Wippy might have had a spare soft cone. I did see Franga going when the rest were fluttering, I thought wow he's got a foil as he was shooting for the moon. A couple of guys did get moving and the other two durring a pit stop (flake break) said it's a-ok just on n off. I did go out (der) and it was on n off but gust were ok, I was thinking hmm nice n warm maybe summers on it's way but bloody hell it did get cold in the lulls. When the others got out I thought great excuss to do the same, hands were purple, arse cheaks were flapping. I did see a lovely rainbow but then noticed Slasher and Ratz gazzing at it also but drinking tea with their litttle finger pointing at it, again wtf Even though it was a short sail on the arctic, it was great to catch up finially with Jonski, a few bra boys, Strop and Gavin, that's what's all about. Oh and home to a hug, hot shower and a top 10 meal, life's good. Carbon Art SL87, 27 Tribal, 6.6 Koncept and a rubber I was worried was going to split.
Swindy (10125km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Back to the usual kit today then the 100 sl Had to go to melville today to pick up a canmore that was being donated to a friend by IainC, as I had left my gw60 at home had to give it a try out myself. Good to catch up with a few of the safety bay regulars that migrate to the river in the winter, also caught up with slowboat who I havent seen for about 9 years. After the on off on off conditions experienced today it may be another 9 years before I head back to melville. I suppose after yesterdays session anywhere today would have been a let down. See you guys had some fun at fangland, Im looking forward to the Indian flavoured Ice cream to be served up on saturday.
