Another very pleasant arvo on Garda..seems like l can sail just about everyday..did my usual upwind/downwind rutine..didn't go fast but enjoyed it. .

Used the 7.8overdrive, 75wide isonic with a 38cm fin..

Very nice. ..even the water is almost pleasantly warm..

I am doing this on my phone and it won't allow me to add any pictures...anyway it's handy...

10-20kts W-SW Peely

 7m Od - 89falcon - 18 cm delta

7m - 79ltre falcon - 18cm delta

Launched at Peely and stayed above the thickest and shallowest stuff that I was in yesterday..Much better! Went out at 11am by myself and was a bit underpowered for the first hour and had trouble working up. I seemed to spend all my time trying to keep above the shallows..I also had to constantly stop to clear weed off the board and straps or it became too slippery..Surprised..It was better as I got more powered up and the board wasn't as low in the water..

Gusts were stronger than yesterday..

After an 1.30hr we started to get some better wind and a few big gusts..The 89 was flying with not much in the water so I decided to go and get the smaller board.. Milsy was out and Gareth made a short appearance..

The few extra kgs I'm carrying are certainly good for helping me carry a bigger sail in the same wind..Laughing..Got some good gusts. Took Milsy's advice and bore away more gently. because the gusts are often so short I just bear off quickly rather than winding it up..Anyway it seemed to help ( thanks..Cool) ..Pity the gust of the day was only 100m long - weird..one second powering along then nothing in the sail...

The wind had shifted more Sw which was better for bearaways but hardwork to get back after 3 1/4hrs sailing..zzz I'd work like crazy and almost get in and then be sucked into doing a bearaway on port tack and end up back near Buff pt...Undecided . Ended up leaving the board at 7th avenue and walking back to Peely to get the car.

Mick and Milsy were still out getting some good gusts..
