The hour was interesting, had the upper hand in the middle but was overtaken later by the Trickster. The wind was shifting NNW-NW-WNW and the gusts were getting fewer until it dropped out to nothing. Had to walk in about 3-400m over the slush and deep bog. Did not need that extra exersize. Then it started raining.
Tricky was sailing well.

2462 days ago A hard slog out there today wind was up & so was the tide & the waves, as the tide droped & the water got better, then heuey turned the fan down a notch got some nice cruzing in as the gusts got less 7 the lulls got more we decided to head in but the wind had swung quite wnw & made beating hard work with the dropping wind. Then ZIP NUUA calm The we started the 50min walk back to shore knee deep in mud That extra hour of walking tested the endurance Packed up in the rain, but it was not as cold as it has been! All in all a great sail.

{KA72 recons peak/alpha was 12.9/0, but realspeed says 27.69/19.52 which seems far more likely, so I edited it.}
Freaking windy WNW today. 6.2m Falcon79l, BPR375.
At times, widly overpowered. Got ragdolled a bit, but determined to sail; my last sesh was April 25th!

2462 days ago Had to work in the morning and got stuck at work longer than expected so arrived later. The guys said it was nuclear earlier and were getting blown off the water on 6.3 so rigged 5.6. I was hoping to catch the nw before it went west but it had already swung and looked like a big squall was about to come through. Headed out and was powered but by the time i headed up wind to find the best water the wind dropped back to less than 20 knots. Had a couple of okay runs but nothing really powered and the wind was a gutless gusty westerly.
Soon the wind dropped back and had a short walk back to shore. On the horizon there was a big cloud heading toward us. The other guys were packing up and it looked like it was going to crank. It looked better than it actually was and was still very gutless and no power for any decent speeds. No better than earlier.
Still happy to get a sail but hanging for a decent solid breeze...
