Green Island, QLD, AU

Another sensational day in FNQ at Green Island with the left overs form the Nationals, Ed"The Machine" Wheatley and Benny " The Lad" Mcarthy.

ED won today hands down, on fire mate well done. I reckon you had done 40k's before I even got planing and young Ben was hooting around out the back. Should be a couple of PB's from our newest member.

Struggled all day on my small gear. Just needed 3 or 4...mmm, 5 knts would have been nice. Just didnt have the horesepower for continuous runs. So frustrating. It was just really good to see Ed blatting around all day and Ben pushing himself. Well done lads and thank you for the company today. Really enjoyed the banter.

Used iS90, T4 6.5, TWS31 - should have packed the larger horse power.

Green Island, QLD, AU Nice afternoon session on the Island on the new toy -thanks Kaleb...!!!Brought the M112 home for a burial unless one of the crew is interested in a reconditioning job ...(Peter let me know...)

Wind was light ~15-17 knots .Rigged the 7.8 RRD fire wing /Iso 107 2017 /CL Sl 2 40 cm upright (been awhile since I've used a non weed fin) & headed off after Cookie ,Ben & Paul from Tassie who were checking out Arlington Reef .

Lumpy ride there & back & no smooth water on Arlington at all today .Too much East /too much water .

Had some nice squirts on GI where the water was much smoother than Arlington before packing up & doing a recon for Troppo's Simmer Base plate -nowhere to be found .

Spotted Snorkel & had a brief chat with ED & Billy before heading back -nice chilled day ...Cool

Exocet 135 Severne Convert 6.7 Black Project 47.5

Great day spent sailing with Ed, Billy & numerous other rigs scooting around enjoying the scenery.  Ed was first up on the water with Kel & Bindi arriving to check out the conditions (nice to meet you Bindi) - shortly after Bindi spotted a whale!...out in the water near Ed.  Ed seemingly unbemused just blasted back to the island...  After a few runs, I met up with Ed on the beach and asked if he had seen the whale- Ed says "well it was pretty hard to miss, I went straight past it", then I asked what did you say to yourself!  Ed calmly says "Hello Whale...".

Happy with my efforts today, I am thoroughly knackered!  Just love the sound of the board going over the water on the plane- seriously considering saving it as some sort of ring tone!

Many thanks Billy for the extra load of my gear on the trolley- it's always a good day out on the water with the FNQ Mob!  We were missing Freddo and Andrew today.

Green Island, QLD, AU Went to GI with 'Bill and Ben'..Was hoping for a good stiff breeze, but walking down the GI jetty it didn't look to good..Rigged burnt out 6.6m north sail on 97lt Isonic with 38 cm fin..should of brought over a bigger sail..Had a good fun session on fully pumped rig. Think Billy missed his Carbon Art today..He also said we could play on the drag strip after lunch.."but he lied" did one run and hit the reef damaged my much loved Venom fin..'most upset'.. So went back out the front to play in the chop, which is what i am used to any way.., sailed right past a whale, which was rather cool, thought he might be keen for a race but he said i wouldn't stand a chance.. Ha Ha ..Saw the boys heading over to Arlindton reef for a blast was tempted to follow them but it was to late in the day and i would of missed the ferry home..Guess it was worth going to GI..Had Good company and met some of the fast kids as well.. Think Benny might get a couple of PB's...Cheers Ed..

First run out, No.1 GPS that I have been using all week at the Nats died due to a flooded bag, sailed for a while then decided to get my backup unit from the room, It only lasted 1 run before it went flat, so sailed the rest of the arvo for Fun!

Used Isonic 107, Overdrive 6.2 and C3 36 StingCool

You guys crack me up. "Hello Whale"....that awesome. I can still see Ed's stupid arse grin, flying past acknowledging a whale. Gold!!!  How on earth did I manage to cop the blame for taking a 38cm fin into the devils lair Innocent . At least you came flying back out but you really did give it a solid chewing. Bit of repair work there mate.

Ben, another bag of PB's and a great write up to boot. Not unexpected mate. You did really well out there yesterday. The smile at the end of the day said it all.

Sorry mobbers, fishing weather here for about the 6th week in a row. I cant cope with reading about the great conditions up there any more. I'm heading up your way in a couple of weeks. Passing thru Townsville the W/E 12/13August, will be looking for a sail in Cairns 19/20, or during the week if the breeze is up.

Pray for wind. How are the tides looking for Green?
