It wasnt too bad when the wind was N-NW. Then the beasty clouds, thunder, lightning and rain came through and it was pretty damn rough.

Sorry to leave you out on your own Ben but i was Knackered and a tad chilly. (Kenny was looking out for you)

Gusty!

I got to Melville just in time to see Lunny stuck on the sand bar dodging lightning bolts. Watched the calm turn to gale force so after umming and arghing I rigged a 5.0 hoping for some good top speeds but by the time I hit the water the wind was dropping off.

Bumped into Anita and Ken who came for a look. Would have taken a lot of patience and a bit of luck to get some good scores today.

I turned up after work just as Ben was heading out. Craig said "Don't go out. It's horrible out there". As I was in danger of turning into an iceblock without even getting wet, I took his advice.

Thumbs up to everyone who was braver than me.

Well done for getting out today Craig. I've been down in Mandurah all day waiting for the wind strength and direction to settle for long enough to decide what to rig. Eating doughnuts and drinking coffee were the prefered option.

I agree with Swindy, I turned up to keep him company, didn't get any doughnuts but. Think we need a firepit at Liptons.

Well done guys. The 13 degree temp on my phone was my excuse.  Also the lightning, chop and on and off winds didnt help.  Frown

We'll done guys, I thought about popping down from work but stepped outside of the office and thought bloody cold. Great effort though I saw the clouds and lightning was wondering if someone was out.
