Melville Beach, WA, AU

Another gusty winter sail but quite pleasant with the sun coming out occassionally. Should have rigged bigger but really wanted to keep working on the 7.0m tuning. The sail felt much more comfortable today, but feels like it's still quite stiff (abit like the rider) and needing more adjusting to get it right. Started with a bigger fin(38) but soon found that unneccesary and went smaller.

Melville Beach, WA, AU Managed a just short sneaky session this afternoon. Saw Ricey burning around and caught up with Anita for an intro which was nice. Some solid gusts... Good to be able to get into that corner to get away from the chop.

Nice sail at Melville, lots out and good to see Anita on the water. Started with the Tiga 275 was fun caught a small gust pushed the board to just over 32 (Tim you Piped me fair and square by that 0.2knts) Thought I'd try the AB must have been a bit of a laugh for people on the shore as it was grovel city waiting for gusts but then an almighty squall hit about 5:30 was suicide out on the water, sailed unhooked on one run just way too much and getting dark couldn't see the chop. Was a real fun survival sail at the end only one other sailing with me till dark.

Rigged 6.0 Gator on 105 Rocket expecting the wind to increase, which it did not., so some planing, some grovellig.

Good to see Anta rigged bigger than me and was planing much more. Quick chat with Tim.

Managed to sneak in a short sail this afternoon during a 45 minute lull. Luckily I chose the bigger gear to keep me planing most of the time but certainly wasn't about to break any records. Good to see Tim, Boz, Ricey and Anita out there choosing their time on the water a bitt better than I was able to. Hopefully the winds holds up tomorrow afternoon.

Melville Beach, Mistral 112 and KA 7.2 - nice putt around, I think best speed was the first or second run. Rained when rigging and after packing up. All good and greate to get outside for a change.

I arrived during a squall and was about to rig the small gear but fortunately the wind dropped in time for me to change to the big gear (again).

Tried a smaller fin on the board today, but it was a bit slow to get going after the gybes. I would have done better with a 40. Made a lot of adjustments today and eventually found some comfy settings.

Disappointed with my speeds, but I managed to exceed a distance of 13 km for the first time since April, so something is improving at least. I felt like the gybes were improving but I would like to be out on a smaller sail so I didn't have to muscle it around so much.

It felt so good to sail 2 out of three days - it has been a long time since I have done that.

It was good to catch up with Ben, Boz, Ricey, Tim and Jeff and to meet Jason for the first time. I had enough clues to work out which sailor he was.
