QWind was up and down, water wasn't all that flat, but for once I made the right rig choice. Used the 53cm board 5.8koncept and 26cm@45d weedy. Had a few grovel moments likewaise a few slightly overpowered ones as well, but most of the time it was just pleasant sailing.
I've been wearing the watch back on my wrist, because with the spray jacket and Locosys extender, I can't get it high enough on my forearm to stop it sliding down. But I've still got the display reversed and the watch on the inside of my wrist, this seems to give better accuracy than on the outside of the wrist, the antenna is pointing almost directly up, both under and overhand.
Here's todays results.

I got the word that Slugger was busy looking at chocolate freckles, so I decided to brave the cold and sneak in a session. I was joined by Cap’n Calm, and for the most part it was 15-18 knots sort of breeze. Being winter, there were some squalls and some holes but overall I was pretty happy on the Barge and Koncept 6.6 and the almost permanently stuck in FangyFin 24. The tide was too high for any real flat stuff, but the chop was only small on the inside. Out the back, the fast running river outflow backed up against the tide and breeze, and created some epic moguls that were that typical tannin soaked colour of Cola. The moguls were all over the shop and for the most part it was crazy to sail through, but every now and then, some lovely little ramps were solid enough not to be crushed by the Barge. The result; good times when I unleashed the inner Elmo on the lumpy goodness, and even more so, to have a high rake fin that doesn't ever spin out in chop.
I came in for a cuppa, only to find that not only had I left my Thermos on the kitchen bench, but Swindy had turned up to kill off the breeze. Which he promptly did. Despite his efforts, there was still some fun to be had and the falling tide started to smooth out the water some more and the sun started making more of an effort. Then all of a sudden, school run o’clock was showing, and I had to bail.Big thanks to Cap'n Calm for the use of his Gt-31 and logging my results. Very surprised about that alpha result on the Barge! Anyhoo, any day with the Barge over 30 counts as a good un. So Top Ten Fangy Day :-)

2416 days ago Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU. CA52/FW7.0/Vector WS23. Low tide, nice to have some flatter water. I missed the good wind earlier in the day, I didnt really have the right sail/fin combo, but it was one of those days (variable winds) when you could go around in circles trying to get your rig right, so I just ran with what I set up. My best Nauty at Australind, so happy with that. Slugger, if you kill the wind you have to open up the coffee van
