Port Douglas, QLD, AU..Big kids Arvo port Douglas..Yer what can i say..Got down the beach a bit late had to spend time in the windsurfing repair shop building Andrew a 'go fast boom'..knew it was gunna be windy so rigged burnt out 6.6m North rig  in 'full crank down mode 'on 97lt Isonic 36cm fin..Andrew came back from the beach with a nervous look on his face and said it was honking hard..Did a tune up lap in 25kts with heaps more out the back where the big sharks swim..Was a strong tide running so it was as rough as it gets with big rolling waves out wide..Was feeling rather shattered after only 3/4 hr..Had dropped a couple of gybes and was doing it tough. Isonic still felt good and did everything right even though it was way over rigged.....All the kite surfers had packed up and were hiding in the girls toilets..Had to make a decision go hard or go home,Didn't want to go home defeated so i 'hardened up' and when blasting till sundown...Blew out one of the top panels in my already trashed sail but i wasn't to worried as i was over powered anyway.'.More sail tape'..Wanted to do 60kms but ran out of fuel..Guess we all have to sail out side of our comfort zone from time to time..All in the name of fun..Cheers ED...
