Incase you were wondering, there was not much to be missed as Gav can also atest. Managed to get planing 3 or 4 times, then some deliberate ditching and recovering of the 8.4, just for practice. Drowned it fully, board upside down and all, just to add a little more experience before taking it out at Botany. Have used its ideal mast for the first time this weekend, which makes for easier rotation, plus easier to pop the cams over by hand when ready-ing for the water start.
