Barks (3586km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU IS 117, TR 8.4, 44 Great afternoon sail with Andrew and later on with Fez and the crew. Unfortunately I had to leave early to attend other matters. Patchy noreaster but fun on the big gear nevertheless. Andrew is sailing like a champion. I noticed those sailers who contienciously used the public path today instead of the shortcut.

Remi Dunoyer (24497km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU Exocet RS6 - Loftsails Racongblade 8.6 - 46 fin Great sail with the crew, Barks and Andrew early on motoring with the 8.4 and then Erik on his big kit. John was watching and learning a few tricks from the carpark .
Andrew (15048km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU 15-24kt NE || 118 Manta, 8.4/7.7TR, 44 T-Lab Nice afternoon on the water. NEr gradually filled in, and I managed to take both TRs to the edge of the comfort zone. Such a wide wind range and really easy handling. Sailed with Barks, Remi and till late with Erik when it swung a little more NNE and picked right up again. Thought the session would be over a lot sooner when I snapped a harness line, but Barks came to the rescue with his spare. Many thanks mate I learnt the "bring your backup harness lines" lesson the easy way! Also thanks for a quick blast on the Isonic - felt very quick.
Erik (2432km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU. Exocet S4 , ERD 42cm fin, 8.7 Neil Pryde H2. Sail too big, just right and then too big..... but lots of fun. With light wind gear, the water is not so bumpy. If I'm reading it right, and the blue line is my fastest mile, it was pretty muchmy first run and also my fastest speed. On the water from about 5:15 to 7:00, the wind seemed to really pick up in the last half hour or so. Good to meet Barks and Andrew and sail along side (and get taken over by) Remi. |
