Yay back on the water! Tongue out..looking forward to telling the dr I'm back sailing.. ( have to give it up..yeah right...)

Excocet RS4 - 7m NCX - 38 BP50 weedspeed

 then 87ltre isonic with 20 BP50 weedspeed

1st sail back after 2 months off with a shoulder inflammation so I took it easy. I was also getting used to 2 'new' boards and some fins..

I've had the RS4 for a while but haven't had more than a few 200m spurts on it in crappy W's. Lovely to have something that's light and get's ok speed although it still feels like a cargo carrier for my weight off the wind in chop..Laughing I'm not used to deeper fins so I didn't go up into the flats much or bear off. Stayed out in the ' choppier' bits.

Pretty rusty on the gybes at first and no arm muscles..I remember pre injury I used to think the 7m was SO light..Undecided Now it feels heavy..Embarassed

1st try of the isonic although I only had one run and an underpowered bearaway into the chop. Had a few issues with the nose diving subplaning . I have put on a few kilos so just thought that was the issue.. Came in and the mastfoot had slid right to the front..Undecided

No wonder the footstraps felt too far back . I kept stepping on them and closing them up and then couldn't get into them..Think I'll enjoy it once I've done some finetuning.

Shoulder survived although aching at times. At least it didn't scream like it did a few months ago..Cool

If you can do two 20 km sessions in two days you are doing better than me already!

I did 20 k yesterday and I feel very weary. I wouldn't be going out again today.

Thanks  Matt! Hope your back stays ok.

Anita I was pretty tired first thing the next day.I think the bushwalking has helped me  with the general fitness. It's  all the upper body muscles you don't  usually use .Pity I couldn't  have kayaked more as that would  have helped. 😊
