Coodanup, WA, AU, Isonic 110, 8.0 Warp, Fangy Fin 24,

wasnt really expecting to get a sail in today but got a chance so made the most of it. Arrived to be greeted by the caretaker who was already rigged and ready to go and kindly lent me one of his fins to try. Fin went well and held the 8m on the 75 wide board no worries and i was able to make good progress upwind too. I will need to try the 8m with the 22 BP Kestral to make a proper comparison however i was out on Thursday with the 22 and a 7m on the same board in similar conditions and span out a lot more so i have not doubt the FF 24 has a lot more grip.

it was never going to be a true speed sailing day but good to get out.

I lobbed down to Nairns and found a 14 knot breeze. I rigged up the Koncept7.5 on the Party barge with the trusty FangyFin24. Then Jonski arrived and killed it.

I spent the rest of the arvo being strangely cold. Not because it was 15 degrees. It's just that I was so completely toasted by John I thought I would be warmer.

Highlight for me was John taking out the FangyFin24 for a spin on a wide board with an 8.0 sail. I was worried that might be too much for the fin, but it seems I was wrong. Contrary to the Delta’s, it seems like the board width does not adversely affect the fin performance. I haven’t figured this one out as I had just assumed my fin would behave like a Delta and perform better on narrow tailed boards.

Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU. Sailing with Otts, Slush & Rattle.  Started off well first run with a nice Nauty on the CA52. Wind then evaporated and it was a long slog home to put the Falcon113 on and banish the CA to the car - what was I thinking!.  The wind continued its on/off pattern,, but happy to get a sail in regardless Smile

JP HF 135L, NP RSR E6 7.8m, NP Flight AL.

Launched down near the Bouvard Yatch club, discovered the wrong way to go out hit 10 sandbars (I counted them) and would've flagged it if not for Tom gybinging 50m away from me.

When I could finally get going it was absolutely lovely nice long runs (for me) and only one stck today.

Whole lotta fun after the initial grief.

Tomski came in with just shy of Mach 1 on the dial

Looks like Glory holes was the go today. I just couldn't get motivated, worked on Noels board instead. Nice to see you guys got out though.
