Unexpected sail at Holloways with Billy and Benny......Happy Birthday Ben...looked great out there today and a

not too shabby job with your new deck/foot pads.

Billy, you sailed very well today and just a pity the 'blue bludger' copped a couple of rips.

First time on my isonic 117....seemed wide.....it is wide!! Just did not want to turn...otherwise all went

fairly well for a light wind day.(couldn't be bothered trying a new sail as well.)

Sensational afternoon with Benny "The Birthday Lad" McCarthy and Fred. Breeze, check. Sun, check. Great mates, Check. A lot to be grateful for.

Good 15knt afternoon meant running big gear, but I dont reckon any one was complaining. Ben was looking so much more comfortable out on the water and wenty home with a "the Birthday Smile". Fred had his virgin voyage aboard the 117 iSonic and looked the goods. Actually, he looked pretty impressive for his first outing. 

Regardless of the fact that I managed to put two large rips in the mono, I dont care. Days like that dont come very often and are worth putting away in the memory banks.

Fun unexpected afternoon sail today with Billy & Freddo.  Rocked up to the beach first to see very light wind conditions, so rigged Ed's ol hand me down 7.7 - as Ed says, better to be a little overpowered than under... and too true it is.  Bobbed around for the first half hour then the wind god's decided to deliver a wish & turn the dial up enough for us all to be planing around for most of the session.  Pretty chuffed with the new deck grip padding on the ol' board.  Plenty of downhaul on the sail with bugger all outhaul also did the job nicely.  Speaking of jobs, the windsurfing widow did a great job this morning surprising me with a replacement pair of Maui Jim birthday sunnies in place of the pair somewhere on the bottom of the ocean from the GI outing - nowadays these sunglasses are no longer worn whilst on the rig...  

Freddo looked comfy on his new board in close company with Billy who had his GoPro on - looking forward to seeing the footage Billy!

More excitement to follow as the Futura board is arriving this week...  All in all, it has been a great day!
