Joined Slugger and Johnski at the Creery end car park, for another attempt to find a low resistance path in the weed. I did find a couple of channels through the outer bank, but most of the time the WSW was too broad to make much use of them.

I had a filleted 20cm 55deg fin that salty left behind to try out so plugged that into the 48cm board and rigged the 6.2 koncept. Trouble was I hadn't fitted it properly into the board and had to keep clearing weed from under the front of it. Apart from that I was very pleased with it, felt really solid even in the chop. If anything it had a bit too much lift, I'll have to try it with the 6.6 in the 53.

Wind was a bit up and down, did a lot of slogging, but powered up through the channels was good fun.

Up and down choppy sesion at safety bay. Got to try the new KA race sail. Spent most of the time fideling with the sail and chating. Slight issue with the bottom cam rotating but will be easily sorted with a round file. Got a few decent squirts and the sail felt great. I will have to get a bit more practice at SB before the race season starts as I felt like an absolute amature out there today. I am sure a more consistant wind will help ease me back into the groove out there.

Coodanup, WA Isonic 110, 7.0,8.0 Warp, Kestral 22 Unfortunately the caretaker was unwell today so skipped his tour guide dutys however he was still there to greet his visitors (and supply fins to some) slugger and Stu were already on the water when I arrived and looked to be going well. I rigged the 7.0 and was out for about an hour before deciding I was underpowered enough to warrant a sail change. Whilst rigging the 8.0 the wind duly picked up enough to persuade me to give the 7.0 one last chance. Lasted another 15 mins before coming back in for the 8.0. All my best speeds were with the 8.0 and while it was a fair slug to get upwind I was fairly happy with how the 22 handled the 8.0 Good to see a few others on the water today.

Koncept 6.2, Sonic 85L + Tribal S'weed 23

Think I walked more than I sailed...

Was going to try the other side of the bank at Lilacs but the tide was lower than what we see during Summer so I toddled off to Quaranup. On my first run out had an over the handlebars on a weedberg, that was probably the highlight of the afternoon...

Come back Easterlys!!!
