Very gusty, rigged 6.0 which turned out to be rather big and a struggle a lot of the time.
Rocket 105, tried rrd 80 but could not get comfortable.
Left before getting an injury (despite one big jybe/catapault)
Good to see Boz flying on his 5.5, and Kenny powering on. Jeff arrived just as I left.

Mistral 112, KA Race 5.5
Got there for the change of shift as the last of the morning people were leaving packed up myself about 5pm
Listened to Boz and went for the smaller sail and it was great in the gusts. I did think I had done at least one gybe but computer says no.
Good turnout, I hope the foot is better soon Jake.

Another 35 knot day but this time with plenty of lulls. A lot of moments of no wind followed by huge gusts. Looked like Boz got the best of the wind in the morning. At least I got to use the mistral again.
Jeff and Snake came down as I was packing up. Saw Jake have a big off and somehow he managed to cut his foot on the fin?? was a bit amused when jake used a tribal fin to cut the tape/bandage for his foot. Hope you get better in time for summer Jake.

2345 days ago Melville, WA, AU. Totally destroyed. Had a short session on the 6.3 with half the lead in the vest, but there was only the odd decent gust and lots of holes around. Had a few short runs a couple of them powered up, but nothing epic by 4:30 sadly. The graphs show wind, but it was pretty patchy. Next thing I know I'm getting a biiiiiiiig lift going out, board right out of the water, hooked in, in straps, oh crap....over the handlebars and that's all she wrote. Limped in with a nice gash across the bottom of the foot and some serious foot pain. Stitched up now, thankfully, but I'll be off the water for a little while me thinks...2nd lot of stitches from the weed speed. Chris, if you're reading this, maybe you need to bring out a range of Tribal kitchen knives, I imagine my review would be along the lines of : "Cuts through flesh like a soft boiled egg. 5/5. Would buy again." - Retired Windsurfer
Fun while it lasted at least. The one lit run to get 35+ was unhooked, back hand out depowering, and survival stance. I would love have been able to put the hammer down on that one!!! Next time, next time.
Cheers lads for looking out for me afterwards Great mob we have here!
