Lunny (42007km): Windfoil Foilville, Waylen Bay Curiosity got me sucked in to trying the foil in stronger winds. Pretty gusty 15-24kn made it a real handful. Much nicer foiling in 12-17kn but you have to try these things. Used the smaller wing today. It takes a bit more speed to get flying and a bit looser than the larger wing. Some scary moments and a few stacks but still good fun. M137, Gator 6.0, NP RsFlight F4
Jase (3183km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Got out mid morning for a couple of sweet runs over the sandbar and snagged a couple of solid gusts. The conditions lined up nicely and the runs were flat, really wasn't expecting that on a westerly? I was well powered up on the 6.6 and loving the tribal weed speed; I can see why people are into these fins, they really are incredible off the wind. I was worried about the 27 being too small but honestly on the futura it works. NIck seems to have the RDM setups well sorted on the race, which looked great. I know who to go to now for RDM rigging tips
Boz (39135km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Fun sesh at Melville, mainlt trying out the 6.3 KA race, what a sweet sail just like the 5.5, I was surprised how much low down power it has in the lighter winds, time to get rid of the Koncept 7.5 and go for the 7 Race. Quite a few out today car park was full and when the sun was out it was quite nice sailing. Tiga 275, AB54, KA race 6.3 Vector 25

scarrgo (8964km): Foilville just another cold gusty and choppy day the 5.6 and small wing is definately a sweet combo it has alot of range but it really only fires up with a heap of wind spent most of the afternoon hooning around in matilda bay as there was alot less traffic and alot flatter water but this did make it hard to latch onto any good gust of more than a spit second oh well, I guess I will just have to keep waiting for some summer this cold weather business sucks still pretty happy to post some pretty competitive numbers for a windfoil, especialy the nauty and alpha, did get some sweet foiling jibes today, it is one of the best feelings when foiling and the little wing surprisingly absolutely loves doing them was having a good enough time to rack up quite a few k's and not too many crashes so I'm feeling quite sore now. just need to pull myself together for another sesh tomorrow to make it 3 in a row always good to finish a day with a smile on the dial 5.6 reflex 4, 135 jp HF, np F4 foil with the small wing
remery (5218km): Melville Beach, WA, AU First sail for six months. I ran out of gas! I got a flat tire! I didn’t have change for cab fare! I lost my tux at the cleaners! I locked my keys in the car! An old friend came in from out of town! Someone stole my car! There was an earthquake! A terrible flood! Locusts! IT WASN’T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD! Boz passed me, he appeared to be sailing on a needle. JP Magic Ride 104, NCX 6.5, Vitesse 28 pointer.
Ricey (11089km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Nice westerly, arrived after the best wind apparently, but still enjoyable Rocket 105 the 125, Gator 6.5, 29 weedy Boz was going well and for a long time. |
