Andrew (15048km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU 5-18kt NE-ENE || 118 Manta, 7.0OD/8.4TR, 44/46 T-Lab Sailed early but it didn't kick early like it has most other days of late. First hour bobbing around in jet ski chop, then it filled in a little for some planing over nice flat water by the runway.
Remi Dunoyer (24497km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU Exocet RS4 - Loftsails RB 7.8 - 39 fin Another cruisy sail, a lot of E and gap between gusts, never turned to the NE really.
JohnM (4237km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU CA75 MS7.0 Patchy east/noreaster
AlfaMale (18459km): Patchy wind but still had a good session with mostly planning despite the lulls out at Kyeemagh, with very ENE (shifted to NE near the shark net/rock groin.
So I used my old Excoceet RS2 which had previously received my TLC. In comparison to the newer iSonic 90L, the old RS2 felt (and sounded) slow! I think I was under-finned with VMAX 33cm, should have slotted in a 36cm fin given the wider tail. I also should move the footstraps back one notch to release the board more. The advantage of a simple tail shape with extra width, gybing was easier and faster exits. Still glad I didn't bin it during the last council cleanup! TRX 7.7 was a good size, handled the 20kt (22?) gusts easily, with the GPS peaking at 30kts! Job done. https://www.ka72.com/Track/t/319432 All my fast stat's were on the same 3 consecutive runs.
