wind was 14 average 18 gust when I arrived at the S bend, Fangy already out, Pas arrived shortly after and Sammy followed.

Rigged the 6.6 53 and fillited 20cm. This fin has a problem, I've bogged it up to 9% and the fillet is stuck to the bog. Tightening the screws has delamned the bog as the fillet is taking the downward load insted of the base. So it's going to need some reconstruction.

Weed seems to have changed in the last few days, there's not as much of it around Grumpy's rock, but the outside bank is still very nice.

Wind was up and down, after an hour or so it seemed to be backing off, so I went downwind closer to base in case it kept dropping. But it picked back up again, so followed the others back upwind. Around 4pm it started to drop again, so this time went back in. Johnski and Swindy were rigging, something big, they hadn't been out long when it proceeded to really pick up, I measured 18average with one 26kt gust, so we should see some better numbers from those who didn't follow me in.

Smashed a good chunk of weed at Fangyland with Cap'n Calm, Fin, Swindy, Jonski, Windxtasy, and the famous but rarely seen Sammy Snail.

Canting Keel Party Barge, FangyFin24 Koncept 7.5

I thought I had got down early, but Iain and Joe had already done a solid shift before I got on the water. (A big Thank You to Iain who has lent me a Tuttle box drilling jig.)  The breeze looked promising but I couldn’t resist using the Barge, so I did the fin bolt up super tight. The result was the fillet provided enough stabilisation for the loose fin box to be useable for one more session.

Huey never really kicked in but it was great to have a social day on the water and squeeze out a few squirts in the channels through the weed banks with everyone. Highlight of the day was Swindy’s efforts on the 28cm FangyFin. The fin looked huge, like someone had crashed a 747 into the back of his board, but he just disappeared on the uphill tack. The lift of that foil was phenomenal and I expected it to throw him off like rodeo rider on the downhill when he got some speed up. Disappointingly, he emerged unscathed, and to top it off didn’t manage to prang  Mother Earth either.

Nevertheless it was fab to have a chat with Anita and Sam after such long absences from the weedy goodness. Top Ten Fangy Day for sure.

      Fangys,   the weedfarm,

A very enjoiable arvo sail with everyone how got out. Had no dramas and the fangyfin was impresive over the lumps, again.

So, a top day out, darting through the weed and smooooooth.

                                                 Cool

Again had the Old Slalom52, Ka kon5.8,  and the very impresive FF20cm,

fangland, it was cold when got there, it looked windy enough for 5.8 and 85L, by the time I finished gearing the wind vanished..

I changed board to the 105/65 with an undersized fin 22/45.. I could see the boys upthere having fun but just no wind at the bottom! It took me 30mins to reach the top where the wind was, could not use the back strap to go upwind due to lack of fin. Had a absolute ball when finally found the gaps through the thick weeds only to find the holy grail of micro chops.

The wind picked up a notch and tide too to make it perfect for a great session Cool, eventually people came back to join the blast, fun fun fun

It was a bit of a fight with the wide board and the 45 rake fin, but in the gusts I managed to get the board flying.. I had few smoking naughties. the 85 would have been 2 knots faster I think.

Good to catch up with the gang and Anita Wink

Swindy's done a slugger

Pat F Race 140, KAR7.1, FF28

Started on the 100 and the FF20 but was woefully underdone.

Brought out the big guns but kept the 7.1 Gota be happy with them numbers on the big kit and the 28 Fangy fin goes upwind like an Americas Cup boat. More tommorow.

Coodanup, WA, AU, Isonic 110/ Patrick 92, Warp 7.0, Kestral 22 Nice day out on the smooth with the Mob. Got there last which is normally a good sign and seeing Fangman and the captain packing up was a sure sign that the wind would pick up an extra few knots. Last chance for the November hour of power however while the conditions weren’t far away it wasn’t to be so just enjoyed my time blasting through the weed.
