Patchy 5 -20kts NE Bombah Point -Mungo Brush, NSW, AU

 7.5m GT Turbo - RS4 - 39 sting pointer

then 7m NCX and 36cm drake pointer

Day 2 of the GPS event.

The forecast was for another big day so I decided I'd get out a bit earlier and hopefully have a more restful sail.I was a bit nervous about putting up the big gear after it came in so quickly yesterday but at first it was hard work. Very patchy with only the occasional patch of 10-15kts.. I wasn't feeling great so rested at either end but as the day went on I felt better and got a few nice linked runs..It was starting to get pretty powered up with the 7.5 so I dropped to the NCX but it was about 20kts by then and too on the edge.. I got one run and then on the second decided to gybe in a lull 300m out and get back in while I was still in one piece.

I was starting to feel a bit more confident in the chop, hanging  on and go for it in the gusts. Great fun although if I keep pushing it it could go pear shaped..Laughing

Even though I didn't compete I really enjoyed the social side of the event and sailing in a new place even if it was  pretty full on and I felt thrown in at the deep end on Friday. I'm starting to relax more in chop and getting back to my old self.

Great info but no tracks recorded. .. If I can't be there I can still visualise from down yonder. Show me the maps. Wine is trying to take over ....ah what the hell. Good winds tomorrow all.

Excellent track clip. Thanks James. That's a lot of water covered yesterday so hopefully conditions today are repeated..Byron may buck up a bit due to lack of breeze.Give 'em heaps mate.
