Manly, QLD, AU. Fanatic H9 Foil / 5.8 NOA / Isonic 121. First ever try on a foil. Did not use a harness as I thought it would be safer not to hook up and only put the foot in the front strap. Got a few runs over a hundred meters before the foil lifts you out of the water due to my lack of knowing how to control lift. What a diiferent feeling to be above the chop and amazing to be using a 5.8 where as 8.6 would be the choice for this wind sailboarding. Spent a lot of time doing water starts which is ok on a hot afternoon.  Swapped with Simon and tried the Hover 122 which did seem to be easier to learn on as the board is built for foiling only.
