Nice sail at and not as gusty as yesterday, rigged the same but with a couple minor changes to the harness lines and downhaul, felt 100 times better than yesterdays setup, was sometimes hard to see others on the speed runs and inadvertantly might have crossed paths were I should have given way (apologies), glad to see others were looking out was a busy day on the water. Melville Beach, WA, AU Plenty out enjoying the sun and river, what a ripper. Not as much water over the sand bar today so it was a little dicey. Boz had a 30 and he probably lost a couple of cm off the tip. Heaps of wind today for the taking, and some awesome runs in pretty flat water, had an absolute ball. For some reason I set my mind on going to Dutchies to reconfigure my setup for ocean chop. When I arrived I realised I should have looked for flat water speed elsewhere. I clocked up more kms walking back and forth to the car. Anyway the 28 pointer was bad news. I had forgotten how good a 34 freeride fin gybed. Talk about carve! Outboard footstraps felt really uncomfortable. Ran into Mark who was setting up some wave sailing kit so I'm sure he had more fun than me. I fell on my bum on the rocks, so if someone wants to come over and give my wizened glutes a massage, that would be good.
