Quick session at dutchies started off a bit light and was fun chasing down JJ on the foil, wind booted in nicely and the chop built up as well, one stack misjudged one wave coming off a smaller one and ploughing the nose striaght in, sudden stop resulting me going over the handlebars to the amusment of a couple of fellow sailors following me, one bruised thigh but the foot handled it okay. Changed the footstrap position on the Manta and it does feel super stable cutting accross the chop but sailor error resulted in the sudden stop.

Foil session in a nice 18-20 knots then swapped the sail over to the wave board.

I heard the king of Fangyland was overseas so I parked in his spot and cut his grass.

Melville Beach, WA, AU M91 6.2K 30 powermax

The first few runs were nice then the wind booted and I was somewhat overpowered after that, so I made it a short session.

My first sail with my new boom. I liked the shape - much easier to gybe and tack, and I felt like I was much further from the sail.

It will be interesting to see how it goes with some flat water speed runs and alphas.

Being overpowered, my gybing was too wide today. My best alpha was a tack.

Melville Beach, WA, AU launched when the wind was a gentle 15knts but almost immediately booted in when I hit the water. Seabreeze indicates averaging 20knts and gusting to 25. Yes this kit was going to be a handfull. Couldn't be bothered changing down sail size but eventually gave way to a smaller board as the 122l was becoming more than a handfull. As always great to finish the weekend with a the sun on your back, a sail and a beer whilst catching up with a few other Pinnas and the usual suspects.

Peel Inlet, WA, AU

Headed down to Liptons for the first time since Dec-15.  It was good to be back Cool

It looked windy when I arrived @ 2:30, and Stroppo was setting up his 6.6 and 85 Sonic, so I chose a similar combo...7.0 TR9 + 90 Gladiator + 27 Tribal WS.

It was OK to begin with, but as the arvo progressed the breeze backed off, so I ended up pretty underpowered (first bearaway into Point Grey was my best speed for the day).

Lost a good 45 minutes when my son face-planted into his sail (it was his first day using a harness) and made a nice gash in one of the panels.  It was a good walk back to the car to get some sail repair tape and effect a crude repair.

Resumed my sesh, but struggled to find any decent pressure, and by the end of my sesh I couldn't even get planing.  Had to grovel in and walk upwind to the second car park.

So, not the epic PB-busting Liptons mission I was hoping for, but still a nice little sail, and my son enjoyed his first outing there.  We'll definitely give it another crack on a better forecast.

Arrived late after a nanna nap and could not decide what to rig ended up with the 7.0 which was good, the 120 Frace was probably not the best option but still really enjoyable.

Jervious bay

was nice to be invited and alowed to join in with some racing with the the kites so a big thanks to the PKR boys for some nicely run racing

but I actaully had a rubbish day otherwise

it was looking very fresh so I settled on the 6.2 and small wing combo, which felt really nice when I got out there, had a comfortable groove upwind and was scary fast off the wind

but all my confidence was abruptly blown away in the first race when Darryl made me look like I was absolutely standing still upwind and I didn't have anywhere near enough of a speed bonus downwind to keep him in sight he finished the three lap race a whole leg in front of me

so I rushed into shore to make some changes to hopefully negate some of the speed difference, I changed to my big wing and made a few other changes but really all I managed to do was make everything feel uncomfortable and very difficult to sail and despite continuing to tweek the settings through the afternoon I really didn't get anything happening that could even get me finishing on the same lap as Darryl

So I'm feeling quite sore and tired as usual but most of all very disapointed, not where I thought I was for speed and not sure where to look for more so alot of hard work to come in the next few weeks

6.2 reflex 4, 135 JP HF, NP F4 foil with small and then the big wing

A fun sail with the team at the local. started off light so rigged big. Wind cranked up to 25 knots so was a bit overdone on the 7.5 (reminded me of last week at Lano). Too lazy to rig the 6.2 so called it a day and had a beer with the Lucky Bay regulars.

7.5 Koncept, 117 isonic and 41 select, 97 futura and 33 tribal ws.

I was absolutely on my own. Felt a little strange, especially when a big black thing jumped out of the water as I gybed.
