Darryl (25155km): Jervios Bay, * Race foil, M1 7.0 DG91, Big thanks to the Perth Kite Racing club for letting us join in today for some racing in the bay. Wind started at a nice 15 - 20 knots and built during the day with the final race getting a few 25 knt bullets. Really hope we get these conditions in Syndey :) Managed to get 3 races in with 3 laps each. Couldn't catch the kites but the cats were easy.
Windrider (12854km): GT7.0, XFire102, WS31. Melville. Early session before it got too crowded and crazy!
Damo (7056km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Pat 135,8.6 OD,46 Zulu & short sess with Pat 115,7.8 OD ,40 Zulu No mojo today
Nelson d Foiler (31112km): RRD Firestorm 101L with 7.5M T-bird & 40 MFC then 38 MFC. After a few runs it was evident that the board / sail combo wasn't right for the conditions. Changed to the 6.5M Unit & 94L Exocet with a 34 EX. Too much outhaul killed the sail but eventually I woke up Best speed was on the Exocet & the best Alpha was on the RRD. Fastest speed during the NM was entering the gybe where things were getting hairy half way to PW Late in the day I had a go on a brand new RRD Firestorm 123L with a 6.8M Fire. Noice Board, sails flat as & gybes like it's on rails, the sail was very nice also Back to the Sausage factory tomorrow
Nauli (21279km): 7.8 R7 (for a few runs) then 7.0 R7; Patrik Slalom 110 + Volt 38 and RRD X-F 98 + DWS 25....Melville Quite a pleasant session tho had to change down to 7.0 to feel a bit more comfortable when the breeze kicked. The new Patrik 110 is really nice...handles the Melville chop really well. The fastest 2 sec was on the X-Fire but the 110 Patrik wasn't far behind with a low 34. Pleasant beers after...nice way to finish the weekend.
Annie (12994km): 6.5 T4 & 94 lt Cross I should have waited a little longer before I rigged Was way overpowered & too slack to rig another sail It was nice to catch up with a few people who I had not seen for a while
