Trousers (14352km): el bog, 13-25kts ssw. lumpy and frumpy I was the only punter at 3:30. I sat and watched the 7.0m marginal but within half an hour had dropped. Yetti, Nic, Adam, Des and Leon all arrived and we rigged and waited and wondered if we'd wasted our time. Just starting to despair when around five it stirred. I rigged i97, 35s07 and 7.0OD and caught the first dark patches now streaming across the lake - but within a run it had kicked and now I was overpowered and overfinned. Came back in subbed in the 6.2M1. Very fiesty at times and lumpy AF in the middle, and I did my first catapult in recent memory. But some blistering runs near the reed beds. It mellowed just slightly, so I took the opportunity to nip home and call it a day. As we packed it was still honking. Good sesh in the end. | ||||||||||||||||||
Sellicks Bogan (7203km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU what a strange day went from 10-12 knots and bang 20-25...gusting whatever. got blown off the water with my 7.8 gastra vapour 42.5 Black project X-fire 112. then got on the 7mtr unit 105 falcon 34 Canefire when it settled a bit. sliding all over the joint, spunout more times than i remember. forgot to turn on the GPS so only did 9 k's but would have done about 20 i reckon. good to get on the water again. now all we need is a nice seabreeze next weekend. |
