Elmo (31413km): JP HF 135L, NP RSR E6 7.8m, NP Flight AL I am a wind magnet Which is not all that good on the foil Got down to Frankies late to see Tom going and Stropp chugging so rigged the 7.8 as the wind looked quite light. Tom and Stropp came in just as I was ready to go out so they got a good view of the mayhem which followed. First run out the wind picked up, it must have been blowing at least 12 knots, crashed 3 times on the way over, fared a bit better on the way back only twice. Not bad for 500m. Next run same as the first except I went over to the other side after 2 crashes I got a good flying run just to suck me in for some more carnage. This was the theme for the first part of my session which I ended after an hour to sit on the shore licking my wounds (figuratively speaking). Stroppo and Tom stayed out in a much lighter wind as my magnetism only works when I'm standing on my foil board. They eventually came back in thinking the session was done, Stroppo talked me into going back out saying the wind backed right ogf after I got of the water. So believing that Stropp would not lie to me I went out again, yep it looks lighter, woo hoo I can get on the foil and pass Stropp(all the better for him to view what comes next) as the wind realises I'm back on the foil again, ker pow, ker splat Elmo down. Another Splat and decide to turn around and head back (I was only half way across) next run flight, one down, flight then a nice chug the rest of the way. The return leg didn't start auspiciously as the wind came in all angry like so having a distinct lack of testicular fortitude I hooked in and firmly planted my feet on the deck just behing the mast base to keep the board on the water a lull in the ragiing gale allowed me to go the footstrap for what would be my run of the day right over to the home side with no crashes where feeling all cocky I tried a foiling gybe which Tomski came in and congratulated me for my backloop attempt. Another run over and back and that was me done, wish I had half the skillz of Tom and Stropp but then I'd have a lot less to write about. Awesome fun session to have in preperation of going back to work tomorow. Groovy (with the occasional dent)
