Nice change. Same waters but has a different feeing in an easterly. Might have rigged a tad too big but no shortage of power.

Had a chat with JJ well upwind from where i started and noticed a fin screw missingSurprised

Yeah yeah i know many of you know i have a screw loose but very glad i keep a small screwdriver in my vest to make sure the other didnt come adrift.

Quite a Pinnafest out there getting the most of a warm easterly.

Had a second session as the east winds just kept coming in stronger, better session as tide was higher for a run across the sand bar. Good to see Lunny, JJ, Mark Bern and Kenny all enjoyiong the warm breeze.

Good to meet JJ this morning and see Lunny after his session. Had a few nice runs with Ben, Boz and Kenny all catching the gusts over the banks. Another few hours in Paradice. jp 71 7.2NP V8 29 Ws

I thought I'd test the Fangy Fin in the river chop, and expecting the Pinnafest at Wallyworld would be over, I headed to Peli Point after work.

It was an interesting session. Wind on the shore was a gusty 8 - 18 kn while I was rigging. I thought I'd hedge my bets and go with the 6.2. When I started sailing it was more like 8 kn and I was just plodding for quite some time. I thought I would stay upwind because I hate getting caught in amongst all the moored boats on the way back. Once I got planing I managed to keep planing all the way to the Attadale flats, which is quite unusual because I usually hit a wind shadow about half way. I checked out the flats for gybe practice but they were too shallow (tide would have been about 0.6). I thought I would head back and check out the Peli Point shallows, but I hit some strong gusts on the way and found it hard to bear away in the large chop and had to go upwind. Having been working upwind on the first leg I found myself well upwind of Peli Point and heading for the Narrows Bridge. Nothing for it but to gybe and try to make some ground downwind. I was just about to gybe again when I hit a lull that had me in the drink and waiting for another gust to waterstart, then it was a nice gybe sequence down Peli Point to get home.

Apparently the other windsurfers, who had all come in by that time, we quite worried about me because I had been out of sight for so long.

Not a bad day on the water with a few other Pinnas, JJ, Boz, Kenny, Mark and Craig, was almost a team meeting. Lucky to have the easterly hold up for so long and tide came in to help get us over the sand bar.

A nice day for a sail with a few Pinnaroos. Earlybird Boz got down for a second round as I got down. Some good strong gusts came through and the water state was quite flat over the sand bar. Wind would come in waves for about 30 minutes at a time and dropped off gradually by 230. Still good that it lasted longer than expected. Congrats to Woody gettting speed of the day. Im sure it will be happening more often.

Got to try the Curtis Lockwood fin which Lunny re-boxed into a pointer fin. Pretty pleased with the feel of it and handles well on the 91 mistral especially when powered up.

Foil cruise to Peli - a nice 18 to 25 knot easterly. Occasionally stretched in the big gusts but mostly armchair sailing Smile

Caught up with Lunny halfway - he definitely had a screw loose Tongue out

Good to meet Woody who got top speed today Cool

It was a Pinnafest at Wallyworld! 6 of you! Woody, you are doing well to outscore that crew. Well done! It is good to have another speedster on the team.

Anita, we got off the water around 2 as the wind was dropping off so you could have got the tail end of it. It was a pinnafest for sure. Cool

A slighly longer gybe at the end and Anita would have drawn a hang loose track.
