Well I was at dam with Billy and Benny annd there was patches of wind coming thru....I decided to give it a go.....I only went out and back.
The only thing I am satisfied with is that when I missed the turn, I sucessfully waterstarted...One lap was all I could manage. /

Really nice arvo on the dam with Herby and Ben. No where near as brutal as yesterday and you definately had to chase the inconsistent dark/wind patches across the bay. Speaking of "across the bay"...missed Ben for a while so I decided to start a grid search for him. Mmm, wouldnt you know it, found him half way up, past the sticks in Fong On Bay. Had to ask whether he was sailing or sight seeing . Water temp was sensational, but I must admit, the car temp was reporting a chilly 20 degrees when we departed. Felt a touch fresh I must say.
Awesome to see Herb out. Nothing changes there. Still that locked in look that oozes comfort and eaze on the water. Benny was haveing a red hot crack, although at times he was very underdone. Still went home with a smile, so stonking effort all round mate.
Used: The "Tinaroo Tank" AHD 140 FD, 8.2 Diablo, 47 Select .

Fun extra day off spent sailing with Billy and Herby at the Dam. Took both the Futura 122 and Exocet 135 boards and rigged the 6.7 Severne Convert as the wind was looking pretty ok on arrival. Ended up using both boards with BP 47.5 fin. Wind was coming through in patches which made me wonder whether I should have rigged the 7.8 Severne OD..... to maybe get through the lulls without running out of puff.......
Billy was having a ball on the "Tinaroo Tank" board with his 8m sail- like a kid with an all day sucker!... So much so he demanded I do a lap on it. I wasn't that excited about it as I had given the tank a go at the beach a little while ago without forming a bond. Today was a bit of a different story- up on the plane in no time....the tank cuts through the dam water like a hot knife through butter, bloody smooth ride!! Only did the one lap as Billy was waiting on the waters edge with a little grin & his arms crossed, so I thought best to hand the rig straight back
Hope the PD crew got a sail in today where the rich and famous frolic!
