SPI North Flats. Falcon 99, RB 6.3, BPWS 38. SSE wind and increasing tide. Heard lots of 28 knots on the head phone going out so went for an hour, but the wind did not quite cooperate, with holes at the start and a big increase towards the end (Nina was overpowered on her 4.5 FS sail, rigged down to 4.0, and still was overpowered). Increasing chop made it hard to keep speed and I started messing up jibes. Did not even get a great mile, since I always had to slow down after a km or so. Fun, but not as good as our north wind / low tide sessions there. Grassy point in Corpus probably would have had steadier wind and better chop. Look like we'll get a chance to test that on Wednesday.

That’s pretty good hour Peter! I am curious how long is the run?

Boro, my runs were 3.5 to 4.5 km long. At the start, I had to turn around early twice to avoid swarms of sea birds. Towards the end, it got quite choppy after about 3 km (and also closer to shore). Longer runs (5 km+) would have been possible if you don't mind the chop.
