Trousers (14352km): el Bog, sw18kts. Got there at two, under rigged the Mach1 6.2m and faffed about for half an hour before commiting to the 7.0OD, + i97 fitted with a BPR32. Not super lit, but comfortable so I just had fun with it. Some other usuals there, and while I saw Sam from afar, he never returned to shore in all the time I was there - should be submitting a fair distance today.
Full Bogan (42931km): I got to bog early but no wind. had a bit of a distance day in mind. hard work a bog though being choppy. i reckon 200km at bog is like 400km at lake goerge, it took a little out of me.
Anyway rigged the big gear in the morning thinking id be overpowered later and it never happened.
the 8.4 pryde sail was Awesome and my 113 Falcon and 42.5 fin handled it well had a great light wind sesh with 99 percent planning and 85 percent of the gybes i planned out. Sailed till sunset. Was also great to catch up with pj who sailed some great sailing and cheers leon for staying to keep an eye on me in the fading light.
Sorry trousers didnt get to catch up. maybe next time :-]
Retired Bogan (6747km): Rigged 6.7 Hellcat on 112L JP. Very up and down, Good in the gusts but spent a lot of time waiting for the wind. Good turnout with the usual crew |
