Naish Supercross 85 litre, KA Koyote 5.3, BP Type R 31

Phil gave me the afternoon off work to come sailing. Lots of squalls coming through and Phil was already out with a 4.7, so it was an easy decision on what to rig. Went out mid squall and wind was honking, thrown around like a rag doll, totally out of balance and uncomfortable. After a heap of extra downhaul and getting the harness lines just right, settled into controllable sailing, with massive 30+ gusts coming through to get few big bearaways and massive airtime.

Happy with the speeds on the small freeride kit. Chop wasn't too bad with the small tides, but can't help thinking the wind would have easily given high 30s if it was 'Burrum flat'.

Great fun afternoon.

A stiff breeze out today, some nice (not too choppy sections) wit the neap tides. Good ride on the cruisey Naish koncept 100 and KA Kult 4.7.

Should have taken the slalom board in hindsight, but whatever. The 4.7 was more than enough, Troy did very well with the 5.3. More fun tomorrow
