Marine Parade, Southport, QLD, AU  JP slalom 97l, Ezzy Cheetah 6.0, Maui slalom 30

First sail in a good while and my fitness level has descended to a new and worrying low.  Nice conditions on the water that I was, as usual, unable to master but it was fun. At the end of each run, wheezing like a set of perforated church organ bellows, I would collapse into the shallows and would thank the water Gods and Lady luck that I had survived the trip without significant injury. The Commonwealth Games have seen the Broadwater launching spot,The Train, closed until after the closing ceremony on  April 15th but the good news is that the Water Police seem to have "moved on" some of the old yachts that are usually anchored in the middle of our speed runs. Maybe they'll do the same with kiters?Laughing

Well that will teach me to leave the big gear at home Embarassed Was expecting at least what we had yesterday plus a bit more but wind went a bit South & never filled in.

Normal service was resumed & Sammy gave me a right thrashing, he was still out there cruising around with Fergus when I left.

Still I could have been working Smile

Less wind and more water that yesterday, it diid look good.. at least in the high of yesterday..

I thought I gave Herbie a test run on litish wind, I was skeptical, the board surprised me!! Did very well, still hard work.. good to know the limit Wink, with the lack of wind my A was a touch wide, had 23.37 @ 60. Thanks Morts for the parking spot, txs also for the comparaison with the Sonic Tongue out.

Eventually after running on fumes with Herbie, I got Fergus out to top up the day Cool (all speeds on Herbie)

Better that working for sure

Thanks good friends. I see you have a cyclony thing whirling towards you....perfect for the foil Elmo. Fangy, how is the rejuvenated Deuschemobil and, more importantly, will you have to sell more FF's to pay for it? Hi Fin....good to hear from you.

You guys have had a bumper sailing season. Moi? Not so much. :(

So you remembered how to sail. Well done Wazza.

And yes. The Fangsters elderly german nags were rescued from the knackers yard and are back in harness.
